Institute of Group Analysis
The Institute is a widely recognised training institute in psychotherapy, and the main training centre for group therapists in the UK. Membership is a professional qualification to practise psychotherapy. Members are entitled to be registered as psychotherapists with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

 

Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA)
COSCA supports and promotes good practice in counselling and the use of counselling skills throughout Scotland, and facilitates preparation for appropriate professional regulation. It develops and supports high standards of competence in counselling training and practice in the full range of activities covering counselling and counselling skills. 

 

 

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
The Association aims to promote the understanding and awareness of counselling throughout society, increase the availability of trained and supervised counsellors, and maintain and raise standards of training and practice.

 

British Association for Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervision
BAPPS members are qualified analysts, therapists and counsellors (trained to at least diploma level) who recognise supervision to be an additional but related skill linked to the therapy profession. All have undergone a significant personal training therapy or analysis, and undertaken a separate training or a long apprenticeship in supervision.

 

 

British Psychological Society
With over 34,000 members, The British Psychological Society is the representative body for psychologist and psychology in the UK. By its Royal Charter the Society is charged with national responsibility for the development, promotion and application of psychology for the public good.
