In accordance with COSCA's policy, APL will be available to those who wish to apply for the Diploma programme. Those who have completed COSCA Modules in Counselling Skills may be eligible to join the Diploma programme at a place which takes their previous Modules and learning into account.

APL is also available to persons who have not obtained COSCA modules, but who can demonstrate (with documentary evidence) that they have completed training of an equivalent duration and standard.

Depending on circumstances, APL may be applied for exemption from Modules 3 and 4, or part thereof. It is not envisaged that anyone would be accorded APL beyond the start of Part 2 of the course.

While sympathetic consideration will be given to each application the final decision on the extent of APL to be awarded rests with the Course Director. Those who wish to avail themselves of APL must complete an additional application form, available from the Course Administrator.
