The Course is presented in four Modules in the manner specified by Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA). As such it would be the relevant first stage for anyone seeking to train to be a professional counsellor in accordance with COSCA's scheme for Validation (of courses) and Accreditation (of trained counsellors). Each module provides 30 hours of contact work.

Full validation of the course has been granted by COSCA. Those who successfully complete the four modules will thus be eligible for the Certificate in Counselling Skills awarded by COSCA.

Please note that it is a requirement by COSCA that 85% of each module must be attended and the required standard reached, before a participants name is placed on COSCA's Register to that effect, and before the participant may proceed to the next module.
